Thomas and Brennan are my favorite type of people – kind, generous, extremely thoughtful, and they love honoring their families. After meeting them for their engagement session in Richmond this past spring, I knew their wedding day would be one of my favorites of the whole year!
Brennan’s details included a bracelet her Dad had given her mom on their anniversary years ago, a ring box her Grandma adamantly made sure I use, a purse her mom had carried on her own wedding day, all on fabric her mom had given me to use. The most intentional and meaningful details I had ever photographed!
After getting ready with her mom, Brennan shared a first look with her Dad and then her bridesmaids on the porch of Farmington (quite possibly my all time favorite porch in Charlottesville?!). And then portraits in the Jefferson room – that Thomas Jefferson designed himself!
Their ceremony was on the lawn as the sun began to set – quite possibly the perfect fall evening weather.
As they entered their reception, they had specialty cocktails named after their rabbits Jack and Poppy. One of my favorite choices they made all day was to eat dinner alone and cherish the meaning of their day with just each other!
Throughout their reception they ended incredible live music by Sam Hill Band, special dances with their parents, smores outside, and SO much dancing.
Congratulations Thomas and Brennan!!
