After years of photographing couples in the Washington DC area, I was SO excited to do a sunrise engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial for the first time! Ray, Lindsey, and I all went to the same high school, so we had a great time catching up and loved having that in common! Although my alarm went off at 4:45 AM that morning, the soft morning light was so worth it.
Ray and Lindsey actually met for the first time in their mid twenties, although they had gone to the same high school and elementary school. Their fathers live less than a half mile away form each other, and somehow it took them this long to connect! Ray proposed right outside the White House on a frigid winter morning this past year, so we made sure to stop their towards the end of our time together.
After meeting together for their session, we realized that my husband and I live 10 minutes away from them and share the same favorite sushi restaurant — so of COURSE we all got sushi together! (If you’re ever in the Woodbridge area, be sure to go to Sushi Jin!)
Ray and Lindsey – it has been such a joy celebrating with you in this way, and we can’t wait for your January wedding!!
