In the weeks and months before getting married, I was so incredibly blessed to be loved on so well by such sweet friends. For my bachelorette party, Emmy and Lindsay planned a weekend in cozy Winchester at Lindsay’s house. Lindsay’s house was the perfect place to sip coffee, make pancakes for breakfast, and have two nights of watching movies. We all got the chance to go apple picking since Winchester has so many orchards, so we inevitably celebrated by having apple pie our second night.
This sweet time was exactly what I had needed. Spending time doing things slowly with few things on the agenda was far better than anything overly extravagent. It was a humbling reminder that intentional time with friends makes life worthwhile. I felt so much more relaxed and excited to get married knowing without a doubt that many girlfriends were behind me and rooting for me.
