Alek and Eve met at Henrico High School fall 2008, and got to know each other at the after-school trivia club. Seeing as they both grew up in Richmond, it made sense to photograph their engagement session in several different iconic spots around the city. When we could see the Lucky Strike building in the distance, Alek mentioned his grandmother had worked their for almost 70 years, and that his family has lived in the city before it was named Richmond! We first met at Libby Hill to enjoy the sunrise, and then traveled downtown to stroll around the Science Museum. This was actually where they had their first date, so they definitely wanted to have the science museum’s dome in a few shots!
Throughout their time dating, they really enjoyed day trips throughout Virginia. Their dream date would probably consist of exploring a city they’ve never been to, packing a picnic, and go site seeing.
Alek proposed at the ballet in Richmond, where they went to see the Nutcracker around Christmas. During the intermission, Eve commented on how magical the dance was. Alek then turned, got down on one knee, and asked, “Do you know what would make it more magical? Will you marry me?”
They are so excited to get married and dance the night away with friends and family this November!
