Thomas and Brennan’s engagement session was full of all of my favorite aspects of Richmond – both the charming museum district and the riverfront! After their session was originally scheduled during a *tornado warning,* we luckily got to meet the next day with beautiful sunshine!

How did you meet?
We first met running track in high school! We started dating about three years later.
Tell me about the proposal story!
We love to hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. For Thomas’s birthday we went away to Asheville for a long weekend. After a drive on the parkway and a birthday brunch at the top of the mountain, Thomas proposed. We spent the rest of the weekend eating delicious food and listening to live music before we told anyone about our fun surprise!
What are your favorite things to do together?
Biking, hiking, yoga, finding new restaurants and spending time with our rabbits, Jack and Poppy!
What are you envisioning for your wedding day?
We are most excited to have all the people we love in a place that is so dear to us. Our ceremony will be outdoors in the early evening, followed by a cocktail hour on the lawn as the sun is setting, and a reception in the ballroom with a stationed dinner and band. Visually, we’ll be incorporating family heirlooms, colorful flowers, and patterned fabric into our celebration!
