Wedding Albums are definitely an investment, but they are so worth it as a part of your wedding photography experience! I myself have fallen guilty of putting off making albums for various life events. I always regret not putting more images in print down the road. The other day I was sifting through a bin of memories from High School, and I realized that I would never have looked at these rare memories had I not printed them out! All that to say, there is so much value in getting your wedding day images off your phone and into your hands.
Here are 3 reasons you should invest in a Wedding Album:
1. Images were meant to be in your hands. Wedding day images can definitely be enjoyed via Social Media, your phone lock screen, on your google drive, and the list goes on and on. But we don’t own Social media, it is basically rented space. If Facebook were to disappear, you would still want to illustrate the story of your wedding day to your friends and family.
2. Albums become family heirlooms. The intention of a well designed and constructed wedding album is to provide a way to preserve those cherished photos so that even your grandchildren could witness the beginning of your marriage. My parents have formal portraits of their wedding day, but I wish I could see their day in it’s entirety as it unfolded! This album isn’t just for you, but for future generations to enjoy and relish in.
3. Time. You could most definitely print a wedding album in your free time. Creating an album can be incredibly time consuming, though. So much time is spent between designing it and educating yourself on which printing companies will provide you with an heirloom product. I love serving my clients by providing them with a solution to that problem, so they can simply approve their layout, and then wait for their album to come in the mail. I also love to serve them by educating myself on current top of the line products, so they won’t have to second guess the quality of their album.
